The Boss and Nurse Albright is now available at the Harlequin website. This is the first book in the MidCoast Medical series where you’ll meet all of the series characters and find out if Claire Albright can straighten out Jason Rogers.
Last month, I ran a contest to find out what my friends and readers thought about the two different covers for the same story. Surprisingly, the US version received the most votes, and Christine won the drawing for the See’s Candy gift certificate. Congratulations!
Often, writers don’t get the ideal cover for their books, which is the case with me with The Boss and Nurse Albright. For fun, I’ve shared pictures of the characters I had in mind when writing it and you can see my version of Jason, Claire, and Gina in this month’s article. What the Characters Really Look Like!
Blogging: I will be guest blogging Wednesday, March 3rd at The Pink Heart Society for Writer’s Wednesday. My topic? Romancing the Muse! On Monday March 15th, I’ll be blogging at the Medical Authors’ blog at the Harlequin website. And I’ll be paying Cataromance a blogging visit on March 29th. I’d like to invite you to stop by and comment at any or all of these blogs, if you can.
And don’t forget to read my monthly Dear Reader letter on the News page! I’m adding something new this month – a health tip and a recipe. Check it out.

February is always one of my favorite months with Valentines and Presidents’ Days, and NEW BOOK LAUNCHINGS!
Yep, The Boss and Nurse Albright is officially available this month at the Mills & Boon website. It is part of the new style 2 in 1 books with shared authors. I am thrilled to be paired with the wonderful Australian author Amy Andrews! Our book will be in the stores in the United Kingdom in March and in Australia in April. The North American version of my book will be available as a single title at the Harlequin Website in March, and will have a different cover. Confusing enough?
Announcement: The Medical Authors blog at www.eHarlequin.com was recently voted the favorite readers’ blog in the eHarliquin community. I am thrilled to be a part of that blog, and will be blogging there on Monday, February 15th.
In honor of my book launch, I’m running a CONTEST this month. Go to my Contest/Contact page for more information. It involves voting for a book cover and winning Sees Candy. Have I got your attention?
01.01.10::

My very best wishes for a prosperous 2010!
I’m excited about my next release scheduled in both the United Kingdom and North America for March 2010.

Back Cover Blurb:
One engimatic doctor
Nobody dares disturb Dr. Jason Rodgers. He keeps others at a distance, and his pain firmly inside.
One bubbly nurse
Enter Nurse Claire Albright - unlike everybody else, she's not afraid to waltz into Dr. Rodgers' office, or to let him know what she really thinks...
One baby girl
And then there's Gina. Claire's little girl - in whom Jason can't help but find resemblances to the daughter he lost. Soon Claire and Gina are doing the unimaginable - making Jason laugh once more. Could they be...
One happy family?
This is the first book in my unofficial Santa Barbara series, where I’ve created the fictitious Midcoast Medical Clinic in a refurbished Victorian mansion by the Pacific Ocean. Book number two will follow in August, and if all goes well, the third and final story will be a Christmas release. Stay tuned for updates and an excerpt from The Boss and Nurse Albright in February!
I’ll be blogging at the eHarlequin Community Medical Authors blog on January 15th. Stop by and say hello for a chance to win a book!

Here's another wonderful review for Temporary Doctor, Surprise Father from Maura at CoffeeTime Romance & More:
"This is a very emotional story about a couple who find each other again after many years. Both of them had difficult childhoods and were very much in love. The author does an excellent job of giving the reader a picture of both main characters’ emotional states both then and now. The story is set in a very busy emergency room and the author does an excellent job of describing the setting and the work involved without getting so technical that the average reader cannot understand what is going on. I quickly became engrossed in the story and enjoyed every word." Four Coffee Cups! -- Maura
06.15.09::
I got a lovely review for Temporary Doctor, Surprise Father from Julie B. at CataRomance.com:
"A touching, tender and engrossing Medical Romance, Temporary Doctor, Surprise Father is a wonderful story which I devoured in a single sitting! Don’t miss this talented storyteller’s enchanting tale of second chances, devastating secrets and the redeeming power of love!" Four stars! -- Julie B.
06.08.09::

Breaking news! I’ve sold my 8th Medical Romance to Mills and Boon, which will be tentatively published March 2010 in UK. No new title yet, but my working title is: A Family Worth Waiting For. Watch for updates on this book.
Temporary Doctor, Surprise Father is now available in stores in the United Kingdom, and since this book isn’t scheduled for release in North America, besides being on sale at the Mills and Boon website, The Book Depository also located in Britain, has my book in stock and does not charge a shipping fee. To read an unedited excerpt of the first chapter, go to my Articles and News page. And to read the prologue, click on last month’s article (May).
The reviews are coming in for Temporary Doctor, Surprise Father, and I’m really happy with them:
“Lynne Marshall writes a powerful romance that touches the depth of a reader's heart!”
-- Book Illuminations – 5 stethoscopes
“Lynne Marshall’s excellent writing skills lend excitement and credibility to this story. The medical scenes are realistic, adding much to the substance of the story. Her love scenes are sensual. The tension between Jan and Beck is realistic, and keeps you reading to the very end.”

The Pink Heart Society reviews – 5 pink hearts
